Mary Sue Locke, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Westside Terrace. She was 77.

Funeral services for Mrs. Locke will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 6, 2016 at Cloverdale Baptist Church with Reverend Chuck Locke and Reverend Ray McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to; The Alabama Organ Center, 502 20th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

Mrs. Locke was born November 21, 1938 in Perry County, Alabama to the late Roy and Golda Mitchell Worrell. She was a graduate of Perry County High School and later Business College. She married Billy M. Locke and moved to Dothan in 1965. Mrs. Locke began her career as a bookkeeper at the Houston County Clerk’s office and retired after 35 years of service. She was a member of Cloverdale Baptist and the Ruth Meadows Sunday School class, and she also enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Locke is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Billy M. Locke, brother, Roy Worrell, Jr. and a sister, Edna Ballard.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Chuck and Monica Locke, Dothan; three grandsons, Tolar Locke, Trace Locke and Turner Locke; three sisters in law, Elsie Howarth, Shirley and Ben Floyd, all of Malone, Florida and Louise Worrell, Marion, Alabama.
