John Elbert Lee, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 84 years old.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Shawn Lee officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee with Southern Heritage directing.

Mr. Lee served in the United States Navy, and retired from Couch Construction. He also coached thirteen and fourteen city league baseball at Wiregrass Park and was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.

Mr. Lee is preceded in death by a son, Mark Lee; four brothers, Cullen Lee, Glenn Lee, Virgil Lee, and Don Lee; three sisters, Lessie Mae Marchmen, Lois Sallas, and Verdell Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Jean Lee, a son, Scott Lee and his wife Rachel; a daughter Ronda Lee Stewart and her husband John; a sister, Virginia Woodall; grandchildren Brandon Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, Casey Lee, and Damion Martin.
