Wilma Lee Edgemon

Wilma Lee Edgemon, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Friday, August 20, 2021 at Westside Terrace. She was 92.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:15AM, Tuesday, August 24,2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9:15AM to 10:15AM at the funeral home.

Born to the late Willie and Bettie Ray Jones she lived the last sixty-one years in Dothan coming from Tennessee. After retirement from Akwell Industries she began her favorite hobby of traveling with her husband and friends across the country in their Motor Home. While not traveling she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending precious time with her family. She was a loving wife to Mr. Ed Edgemon for sixty-four years along with being a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Edgemon (Lynn); three daughters, Ann Kirkland (Tommy), Linda “Lin” DeMartino (David) and Sherrie Edgemon; eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Sarah, Tammy and the whole Westside Terrace staff for the great care and love that they showed to Ms. Edgemon.
