Theophilus “Doc” Pybus, a resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife of 65 years, Jacqualine and his children.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home from 11 AM until 12 PM.

Theophilus was born March 16, 1931 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Joseph and Esther Granberry Pybus.

Mr. Pybus is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gladys Seay; brother, Esto Pybus and three children, Lana Rebecca Pybus, Edison Russell Pybus and Theophilus Robert Pybus.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqualine Pybus; sons, Marcus Pybus, Paul Pybus (Kim), Ray Pybus (Karen); daughter, Renee Thomley (Joel); two brothers, Wimpy Pybus (Doris) and Joe Billy Pybus (Fran); five grandchildren, Thomas Ray, Sarah, Ryan, Gabrielle, Clayton and one great grandchild, Jason.
