Teresa Lynn Kelly

Teresa Lynn Kelly, a resident of Slocomb, Alabama died Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Flowers Hospital with her family by her side. She was 63.

 Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.

Born to Glen Newsome and the late Martha Yeomans Newsome on December 2, 1959 in Dothan, Alabama. Teresa was a very hard worker, as she worked several years at the cotton gin in Geneva, Alabama before working twelve years at Southeastern Apparel in Dothan, Alabama before having to take a medical retirement due to a stroke. She never met a stranger and always received anyone into her home for some great cooking. Teresa’s hobbies included cooking, sewing, and fishing. She was an avid Auburn fan at heart  “War Eagle”. Teresa  was a devoted wife of thirty-five years to Pat, along with being a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother, Ricky Newsome and a sister, Sherry Acreman.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Pat Kelly; a daughter Shanna Kelly (Dylan Smith); two brothers, Paul Newsome and Edward Osborne;  a grandson, Lee Gentry; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
