Perry Townsend Obituary

Perry Lamar Townsend, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 52.

Memorial services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Pastor James C. Harvey, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Perry was born April 10, 1969 in Dothan, Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Dothan. He was a 1987 graduate of Dothan High School where he played football for the Tigers. Perry was a loving family man, sports fan, (Florida Gators) and will be remembered for his big smile.

Perry is preceded in death by his father, Larry Lamar Townsend and a brother, Adrian Knight.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Townsend; children, Brandon , Brittany, Janelle and Myles Townsend; mother and father, Martha and James E. Knight; brothers, Greg Townsend (Maranda) and Terrance Townsend (Natalie).
