Lovell Norman Obituary

The vibrant life of Lovell Norman came to a peaceful end on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Wesley place on Honeysuckle. She was 77.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11AM, Friday, May 5, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell Johnson leading the service.

Born on April 6, 1946 in Florida to the late J.B. and Abbie (Mixon) Hollis. Lovell moved to Slocomb where she worked for 15 years at Hedstrom Union. When the plant closed, she began working at Champion Apparel in Slocomb for another 5 years. Sewing and creating any form of arts and crafts were her favorite hobbies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever be remembered and missed.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 30 years, Pat Norman; her parents; one brother, Franklin (Buddy) Hollis; four sisters, Lucille Ammons, Ruth Adams, Linnie Jane Lomneck, and Veldie Hicks; and two brother-in laws, Jerald Peters, and Gene Chamblee.

She leaves behind two daughters, Patricia Steele (Kevin), and Vickie Sipper (Mike); two sisters, Mary Chamblee, and Luevelle Peters; five grandchildren, David Pollard, (Nikki), Vince Sewell, Casey Fleming, Gracee Sipper, and Joseph Sipper (Monica); eight great grandchildren, Lexi Pollard (Ryan Cherry), Chase Pollard, Cayden Pollard, Kairi Sewell, Tyler Napper, Logan Napper, Kaylie Brown, and Mia Sipper; one great great grandchild, Rylan Cherry; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Lovell’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched throughout her life.
