Obituary

Lessie Marie Ramsey, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at southeast Health Medical Center. She was 78.

Mrs. Ramsey was born September 28, 1944 in Iuka, Mississippi to the late Herbert Cox and Lessie Clark. She and her husband owned and operated Ramsey Cleaning Service and she was an avid Alabama Fan. Mrs. Ramsey was a Jehovah’s Witness. She will be remembered as a very loving and sweet mother with a great sense of humor.

Mrs. Ramsey is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Eugene Ramsey and a brother, Harold Gene Clark.

Survivors include her children, Zina Michele Davis, Bonnie Carla Dunsford (Douglas), Christopher Joel Ramsey, Jeffrey Thomas Eugene Ramsey (Heather); grandchildren, Jennifer Alt, Ashley Parker, Caleb Davis, Madison Gill, Isabella Dunsford, Kevin Gill, Jordan Gill, Phillip Ramsey, Brianna Ramsey, Cambria Ramsey, Allison Sullivan and Joshua Ramsey; nine great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Totherow and a special friend and sister in law, Barbara Clark.
