Lana McDowell White

Lana McDowell White, a resident of Blakely, Georgia passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2022, at Noland Hospital following an extended illness. She was 76.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, July 22, 2022, in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Murkerson officiating. Burial will be following the service at 12:30PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Eufaula, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service from 9:30AM to 10:30AM.

Lana was born to the late Sancel Alfred and Montine Fain McDowell on August 31, 1945, in Cairo, Georgia. She was well loved by a large, blended family. Lana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who cherished spending precious time and making lasting memories with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Zach White.

Survivors include her wonderful husband, Emory White of Blakely, GA; three daughters, Holly Rumbarger (Peter) of Petal, MS; Tara Littlefield of Dothan, AL, and Sara Smith (Richard) of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Julia M. Mann of Stuart, FL, and Sonja K. Anderson (Phillip) of Denver, CO; two step sons, Eric White (Grant) of Morris, GA, and Michael White (Tina) of Morris, GA; a step daughter, Kim Bruner (David) of Blakely, GA; twenty one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, along with many friends.
