Kay Lucina Merritt, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at North West Florida Community Hospital. She was 81.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Kay was born May 15, 1939 to the late Lee Herbert and Carrie Bates Harvey in Capac, Michigan. She moved to Alabama in 1978. She was a Renowned Artist in Eufaula, Alabama. She embarked and thrived in several different careers, but her love was her artwork. She was a loving mother to four children. Her hobbies included countless times at Westgate Indoor Pool with her Lady Aquacizers.
Ms. Merritt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darryl Hallman; one son, Darrin Hallman; two brothers, Dallas Harvey and Gerald Harvey; a sister, Caulette Gafken.
She is survived by one son, Randy Hallman (Bernadette); two daughters, Karrie Sedor (Billy) and Linda Albritton (Jim); seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Pat Tallen and her favorite feline, Luna.
