Karen Lee (Tanzey) Morris

Karen Lee Morris, a resident of Cottonwood, Alabama died Saturday, January 8, 2023 at Southeast Health. She was 84.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5PM Friday, January 13, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Karen was born to the late Thurman Nicholas and Goldie Ethel Dye Tanzey on January 31, 1938 in West Virginia. She later moved to Cottonwood, Alabama with her late husband of thirty years, Edward Morris. Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, and nine sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Nick Clayton (Blondie) and Richard Clayton; a daughter, Victoria Ray; a brother, Toney Tanzey (Peggy); seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a special friend, Tammy Woodham; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
