Joseph “Joe” Eugene Griffin, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Wesley Place. He was 78.

Joe was born August 30, 1941 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Lee Roy and Mattie Canara Abbott Griffin. He had a passion for reading and loved to listen to blues music. Tina Turner was also one of his favorites. Joe was a wonderful man who will be missed dearly by those who knew him.

Joe is survived by his wife, Wavie Griffin; son, Matthew Griffin; step-children, James Sherman, Robert Sherman, Ray Bell, Jr., Lisa Clements; sister, Mildred Griffin Calhoun; loving cousins, Brenda and Ray Henderson and special relatives, Courtney Henderson, Hope Henderson, Amy Kirkland, Guy McKenzie and Charlotte Rogers.
