Joseph Beatty Obituary

Joseph Michael Beatty, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Flowers Hospital. He was 63.

Joe’s wishes were for cremation and no services will be held. His cremated remains will be scattered at sea, the place he truly loved.

Joe was born November 5, 1959 Philipsburg, Pennsylvania to Leroy and Norma Emigh Beatty. He was a 1977 graduate of West Branch High School and following graduation joined the United States Navy. After serving 20 years, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer.

Joe is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Esther Beatty, Norman “Mike” and Edna Emigh and a nephew, Michael Zueger.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Maynard, Plano, TX; father and stepmother, Leroy and Wanda Beatty, Morrisdale, PA; siblings, Sheral Knepp (Bill), Philipsburg, Pa, Paula Zueger (Richard), Plano, TX, Bradley Beatty (Denise) Taylor, AL and a half-brother, Christopher Beatty, Morrisdale, PA.

Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
