John Lambert Dixon, Jr.

John Lambert Dixon, Jr., a resident of Dothan died Saturday May 15, 2021 at Extendicare Health and Rehab. He was 76.

Funeral services for Mr. Dixon will be held at 11 AM Monday May 17, 2021 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 6 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1231 Fortner Street, Dothan, AL 36301.

John was born February 15, 1945 in Eufaula, Alabama to the late John Lambert and Hazel Hartzog Dixon, Sr. John was a salesman for Colonial Bread for 39 years and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist where he served as Deacon. He and his wife, Martha taught Sunday School at Extendicare for 14 years.

John is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Martha Dixon.

Survivors include his children; Ricky Dixon (Jenny), Tonya Wilkinson (Tim); grandchildren, Emily Hill (Tyler), Lanie Brooke Belk (Trey), Hunter Wilkinson and Daulton Dixon; great grandchildren, AbbyKate and AllieReese Hill; sister, Linda Barfield (Kenneth); sister in law, Brenda Lovering (Wayne) and a brother in law, Tim Calloway (Carolyn).
