Jerry Malcolm Batson

Jerry Malcom Batson, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama died Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his residence. He was 74.

Mr. Batson’s wishes were for cremation and no services are planned at this time.

Jerry was born April 30, 1949 in Blakely, Georgia to the late George E. and Hilda Brown Batson. He attended Early County High School and later joined the Unites States Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam. Following his military career he began working at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill and retired after 38 years as a Control Room Operator. Jerry was fond of woodworking and being outside camping and fishing.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris Batson; sister, Faye Reeves and a brother, Randall Batson.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Batson; son, Jerry Batson, Jr.; grandchildren, Auburn, Autumn, Isaiah, Hunter and Caleb; three great grandchildren; sisters, Vicki Phillips, Vivian Langley, Beverly Wilson, Melanie Batson and a brother, Donald Batson.
