James Alfred Sumrall

James Alfred Sumrall, a resident of Dothan, died Monday, October 12, 2020 at Southeast Health. He was 83.

Memorial services for Mr. Sumrall will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 16, 2020 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Rick Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; The Gideons International, PO Box 1051, Dothan, AL 36302.

Mr. Sumrall was born March 8, 1937 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Curtis Earl and Ruth Eleanor Kennel Sumrall. He joined the United States Army and served two years before starting a career as an Electrician. Mr. Sumrall was a Ham radio operator and a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Phillips; three children, Mary Ruth Sumrall, James Robert Sumrall and John Curtis Sumrall.
