Obituary
George Albert Leiser, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Southeast Health. He was 85.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama with Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Military honors will be presented by the United States Air Force.
George was born March 31, 1937 in Hudson, New York to the late George John and Edith Silcock Leiser. He was raised in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served three years. George later moved to Dothan and began a career as an automobile mechanic and later a parts salesman having spent all his working career in the automotive industry. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed time spent with his family and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Jean Leiser; children, Sonia Jensen (Scott), Jeffrey Leiser (Lynette); grandchildren, Gabrielle Snellgrove (Trevor), Ayrton Leiser (Lorena), Elizabeth Andrews (Wesley), Cole Revels (Danielle); seven great grandchildren; and his sister, Joan Briscoe (Jim).
