Obituary
Edwinna H. “Cookie” Proctor, a resident of Madrid, Alabama died Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her residence. She was 70.
Funeral services for Cookie will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Madrid Baptist Church with Pastor Jayson Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Madrid City cemetery.
Cookie was born March 22, 1953 in Marianna, Florida to the late James Ellis and Myrtice Halley. She was raised in Blountstown and later married Jiles Whit Proctor and moved to Madrid, Alabama. She and her husband were engaged in farming during their life. She was a faithful and active member of Madrid Baptist Church.
Cookie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James Whitman Proctor and a sister, Sharon Elise Grant.
Survivors include her stepson, Jason W. Proctor; cousin, Beth Sunday; sister by choice, Liz Farris and many extended family.
