Edward John Lucas

Edward John Lucas, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his residence. He was 69.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Christ Church International with Dr. David Del Vecchio and Reverend Richard Lucas officiating. Flowers will be accepted.

Edward was born April 9, 1950 to the late Walter Eugene Lucas and Mamie Ruth Rutherford Lucas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Edward John “Shorty” Lucas.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Remona Lucas; two daughters, Bridgette Simmons (Eric), and Alicia Kent (Bo); five grandchildren, Katie Bennett (Matthew), Jared Simmons, Caleb Simmons, Elisabeth Kent, and Luke Kent; two sisters, Fran Fountain (Carl), and Ida Sewell (Tony); four brothers, Richard Lucas (Yamila), Walt Lucas, Ben Lucas (Donna), and Bob Lucas; brother in law, Allen Clark (Betty); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
