Corine Hill Henry

Corine Hill Henry, a resident of Ashford, Alabama died Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her home. She was 91.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held immediately after the service in Crestlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in her honor to Ashford Senior Citizens Center, 409 S. County Rd 33, Ashford, Alabama 36312

Ms. Corine was born on May 23, 1932, to the late Sanford and Cora Lee Eldridge Barfield. She served as a caretaker for many years before serving as a foster parent at Ashford  Elementary School. She was very outgoing, free spirited, and never met a stranger. Ms. Corine was a loving mother. grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Spending precious time with her family was her ultimate joy. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Ms. Corine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James “Buddy” Hill; five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Tim Hill (Judy) and Stan Hill (Tammy); three daughters, Linda Stephens, Debbie Johnson, and Martha Killingsworth; a sister, Betty Watford (Danny); fourteen grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, twenty-six great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
