Christine Wilson Proctor

Christine Wilson Proctor, a resident of Cottonwood, Alabama died unexpectedly Friday, March 3, 2023 at her home. She was 68.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Wyatt Shiver officiating. Interment will be held immediately following the service in Family Harvest Cemetery in Grangerburg, Alabama with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral home.

Christine was born to the late Thomas and Hazel Barfield Wilson on June 12, 1954 in Houston County, Alabama. She retired as a CNA after twenty one years at Extendicare Rehabilitation Center. Christine was a very caring person who always put her patients and their family first. She never met a stranger and always went out of her way to help those in need. Her hobbies included shopping and playing Bingo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Christine will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cynthia Proctor; a brother, McArthur Wilson; a sister, Betty Boyett; a granddaughter, Courtney Proctor; and her previous husband, Charles Proctor.

 Left to cherish her memory is a son, Chad Proctor (Christina); four brothers, Thomas “Toe” Wilson Jr (Sarah), Jerry Wilson, David Wilson (Cherie), and John Wilson (Donna); Four sisters, JoAnn Dollar, Alesia Hammond (George), Glenda Crutchfield (Ed), and Patricia Cureton (Larry); three grandchildren, Jonathan Proctor, Christopher Proctor, and Benjamin Proctor; a very special friend, Donald Thweatt; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
