Carla Vanessa Reed, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her home. She was 69.

Vanessa’s wishes were for cremation and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Vanessa was born and raised in Alabaster, Alabama and was a graduate of Thompson High School. She enjoyed life and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.

Vanessa is preceded in death by her parents, William Taft and Doris Jean Williamson.

Survivors include her husband, John Jenkins; sons, Dustin Parker, Jason Parker; grandchildren, Carter Parker, Lillian Parker, Orin Parker and Aniya Parker; sister, Latisha Dawkins.
