Billy Mack Head

Billy Mack Head, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Southeast Heath Medical Center. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 9, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Hershell Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Assembly of God cemetery in Wicksburg, Alabama with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Billy was born June 23, 1946 in Newton, Alabama to the late Benjamin Albert and Eathel Roxy Hitson Head. He was an Automotive Technician and owned and operated B & G Automotive prior to his retirement. Billy enjoyed playing guitar and listening to country music. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Harley.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Lovie Hughes, Mary Sexton, Verna Mae Thomas and Nan Graves; three brothers, Joseph, James and Wayne Head.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gail Head; daughters, Laura Adkison (Steven), Krista Brown (Jimmy); grandchildren, Casey Creel, Emily Hobbs, Madison Hobbs, Everlong Brown; great grandson, Ethan Stewart.
