Ben "JJ" Wright

Ben “JJ” Wright, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Georgia. He was 48.

Funeral services for JJ will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 16, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Patty Fowler and Elizabeth Hinton officiating. Burial will follow at Marvin Chapel in Graceville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the services at the funeral home.

JJ was born April 17, 1973 in Dothan, Alabama to Robert and Artelma Bass Wright. He was raised in Rehobeth and a 1991 graduate of Rehobeth High School. JJ was a Bay Foreman at Qualico Steel, volunteer for the Ashford Fire Department and loved hunting, fishing and coaching his son’s sports teams.

JJ is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wright and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Wright; sons, Andrew Wright (Nealy), Corey Pridgen (Stevie); daughter, Paisley Wright; grandchildren, Amelia Wright and River Pridgen; mother, Artelma Wright and brothers, Mike Wright (Tanya) and Tony Wright.
