Shirley (Suggs) Cunningham

Emma Shirley Suggs Cunningham, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at her residence. She was 82.

Graveside services for Ms. Cunningham will be held at 3:30 Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Selma Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 3 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the services.

Ms. Cunningham was born November 3, 1936 in Miller County, Georgia to the late John B. and Lillie Mae Everett Suggs. She was a homemaker that enjoyed horror movies, flowers of all kind and collecting all things with Mickey and Minnie on it.

Ms. Cunningham is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Henry Cunningham and a daughter, Shirley Diane Cunningham.

Mrs. Cunningham is survived by six daughters; Rebecca Hall, Lisa Dowie, Judy Covington (Wilburn), Barbara Covington (Wayne), Sara Browne, Wanda Johnson (Tony); two sons, Shelby Cunningham (Janet), John Robert Cunningham; 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and her special furry friend, Minnie.
