Samuel Roberts Dye

Samuel Roberts Dye, a resident of Dothan, passed away at his home Friday, November 23, 2018. He was 87.

Funeral services for Mr. Dye will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Dr. Tony Dye officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory cemetery with full military honors. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Dye was born in Coffee County, Alabama on October 20, 1931 to the late Huland Dickerson and Sally Clyde Roberts Dye. He served 22.5 years in the United States Air Force retiring honorably with the rank of Master Sergeant.

Mr. Dye is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geraldian Allen Dye; brother, Roger Dye and sisters, Julia Faye Dye Godwin and Martha Jean Dye Bedsole.

Survivors include his sons, Tony Lynn Dye and Shirlon of Savannah, GA, Hugh Bryan Dye and Lee, Vestavia Hills, AL, Samuel Roberts Dye, Jr and Sally, Rehobeth, AL, Ronald Wayne Dye of Dothan, AL; daughter, Donna Marie Quinones, Madison, WI; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Dye Rhodes and Jawona Dye Warren and Donny.
