Ronnie Douglas Hatcher

Ronnie Douglas Hatcher, a resident of Ashford died Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Noland Hospital at Southeast Health. He was 68.

Memorial services for Ronnie will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 22, 2019 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Judy and Bobby Dyson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Ronnie was born May 30, 1950 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Brady and Lucille Douglas Hatcher. He was raised in the Ashford/Gordon area and worked for Bert Thompson, Pete Thompson and Jeff Thompson farming. Ronnie also worked for the Houston County Road and Bridge and has many friends who still work there. Ronnie was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Hatcher; daughters, Sharon Hatcher (Joey), Amanda Johnson (Eddie); son, Ronnie Hatcher Jr (Karla); grandchildren, Harley (JC), Devin (Trish), Billy (Jackie), Marcus (Blakeley), Daniel (Bethaney), Clint and John Thomas; great grandchildren, Richard Robert Hoback, Rylen James Hatcher; sisters, Martha Jean Hatcher, Teresa Ann Williams; brother, Terry Allen Hatcher, several nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Butterbean and Weasel.
