SMS Robert T. “Bob” Harrison, United States Air Force retired, died Monday, March 13, 2017 at his residence. He was 72.

Funeral services for Mr. Harrison will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Independent Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Mr. Harrison was born January 27, 1945 in Houston County to the late Tommy Frank and Ollie Lois McNeil Harrison. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 24 years as a Senior Master Sargent. Following retirement he worked for Pemco and the Houston County Sherriff’s Department. Mr. Harrison was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, garden and travel.

Mr. Harrison is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Matha Jo Harrison; daughter and son in law, Robbie Jo and Chris Shepherd; son and daughter in law, Robert “Tommy” and Catherine Harrison, II; two grandchildren, Brody and Parker; a brother and his wife, Roy and Barbara Harrison.
