Rebecca Joan Pouncey, a resident of Dothan died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her residence. She was 68.

Ms. Pouncey’s wishes were for cremation and a service will be held at a later date.

Ms. Pouncey was born July 15, 1949 to the late James Otis and Thelma Toole Cole. She was a lifelong resident of Dothan and worked 30 plus years with the USDA where she retired as an Inspector. Ms. Pouncey was a loving mother and caregiver for her family.

Ms. Pouncey was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Martha Powell and Bud Cole.

Survivors include her sons, Dwayne Hughes (Kathy), Michael Hughes (Jeanie); grandchildren, Danielle, Josh, Meagan, Bradley, Justin and Grace; great grandchildren, Wyatt Lee and Lynnli Grace; brother, Mike Cole (Rena) and several nieces and nephews.
