Railey Woodson Macey, III

Railey Woodson Macey III, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his residence. He was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM EST, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 6PM Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Macey was a retired Major with 20 years in the United States Army after serving three tours in Vietnam as a Green Beret (Special Forces). He was the owner and operator of Business and Tax Solutions LLC up until his time of death. He was an avid Cub Scout leader for 20 years, and enjoyed his time in the Amateur Radio Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents Railey and Elizabeth Beau Macey.

Mr. Railey is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa Macey; two daughters, Kimberly and Kelley Macey; two brothers, Randy Macey (Mary) and Richard Macey; one sister, Pat Tulley (Don); three grandchildren, Nathan Graham, Luke Bryan, and Camryn Hutton; numerous other relatives and many friends.
