Margie Smith

Margie Smith, a resident of Ashford, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018. She was 83. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 2 PM at First Freewill Baptist Church, 1461 Timbers Drive, Dothan, AL with Reverend Charles M. Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted. Mrs. Smith was born December 27, 1934 in Slocomb, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith; parents, Chester and Eunice Peters Forehand and a brother, Bibb Forehand. Survivors include her son; Steven (Mona) Smith; grandsons, Kyle and Logan Smith; sisters, Faye (Charles) Pierce, Robbie (Malcolm) Hendrix; brothers, Edward (Mary) Forehand, Sonny (Carolyn) Forehand, Allen (Sharrel) Forehand, Paul (Vicki) Forehand and a sister in law, Joann Forehand; several nieces and nephews. Margie was greatly loved by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
