Janice Patterson Richardson, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 81.

Memorial services for Ms. Richardson will be held at a later date.

Ms. Richardson was born May 8, 1935 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Donald and Eunice Flowers Patterson. She worked as a cashier for TG&Y and attended Evangel Assembly of God church.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hasty (Clay); two sons, Jesse Richardson (Janet), Allen Richardson (Sharon); grandchildren, Karla German (Rex), Holly Britain (Brian), Dale Duncan (Kat), Jess Richardson and Jacob Richardson; great grandchildren, Aimee Burkett, Hannah Singleton, Anthony Hall, Logan Duncan, Payton Jinks, Freya Duncan; great great grandchildren, Rayleigh Burkett and Kynslie McCall; three brothers, Larry Patterson (Leona), Gary Patterson (Leah), Michael Patterson (Jill); special friends, Kenneth and Lucy Burkett.
