Evelyn Lambert

Evelyn “Bill” Lambert, 89, was received into Heaven on June 26, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Steve Skidmore officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; West Highland Baptist Church, PO Box 417, Andalusia, AL 36420 where her family attended from 1950-1967.

Evelyn was born April 14, 1929 in Webb, Alabama and raised in Andalusia, attending Andalusia High School and First United Methodist Church. On April 7, 1950, she married Huey M. Lambert at First Baptist Church, Andalusia. Evelyn was currently a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church having joined in 1967.

Survivors include their children, Susan Stokes (Charles), Edward Lambert (Linda), Mike Lambert (Teresa) and Alva Lambert; sister, Faye Stroud Moree; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Huey; grandson, Mark Stokes; parents, Alva and Alice McCord (Stroud); sisters, Elizabeth, Catherine; brothers, Leon and Edsel.
