Venston Bryant Faulk, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 81.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to and following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Care, 1512 West Main Street Dothan, Alabama 36301, or to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Faulk was born on May 11, 1936 in Elamville, Alabama to the late Charlie and Bessie Faulk.

Mr. Faulk spent most of his adult life working in the dairy industry. He retired from the Auburn University E.V. Smith Research Center. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Faulk, and Gene Faulk; and one sister, Sue Harden.

Mr. Faulk is survived by his wife, Gloria Faulk; his children, Venston (Kathi) Faulk, Ashford, Alabama, Rickey Faulk, Wetumpka, Alabama, Darlene (Bill) Altman, Dothan, Alabama, Becky (Charles) Kite, Dothan, Alabama, Jason Faulk, Tallassee, Alabama, Kelly Brantley, Tallassee, Alabama, Cindy (Chris) Koopman, Deerfield, Virginia, Jeff Glass, Brooksville, Florida; two sisters, Beatrice Ward, Dothan, Alabama, and Maryanna Smith, Ozark, Alabama; a brother, Charles Faulk, Abbeville, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren; twelve greatgrandchildren; and many longtime friends.
