Billie Joyce Hataway, a resident of Ashford, died Monday September 4, 2017 at her residence. She was 79.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hataway will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Dr. David Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Enterprise Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashford, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Hataway was born May 20, 1938 in Ashford, Alabama to the late William McKinley and Mary Trawick Smith. She loved her Lord and was a devout wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors.

Mrs. Hataway is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Vicki Lynn Bradley.

Mrs. Hataway is survived by her husband Billy Wayne Hataway; son, Steve and Tammy Hataway; grandchildren, Jonathan and April Hataway, Leah Bradley, Chris and Leanna Hataway; great grandchildren, Katelyn Bradley, Morgan Bradley, Caden Hataway, Gavin Hataway, Kaylee Hataway, Maggie Hataway and Rowan Hataway; sister, Bobbie and Roy Habron.
