Amy Courtney Hinson

Amy Courtney “Sister” Hinson, a resident of Ashford, Alabama died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Flowers Hospital. She was 54.

Per her wishes there will be no services at this time.

Amy was born to the late George and Lois Beasley Blackstone. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. After obtaining her nursing degree from Chipola Junior College, she began to truly fulfill her desire of helping others in need. After her nursing career she continued the path of helping others and instilling that same trait in her children and grandchildren’s life. She loved the outdoors and always engaged herself in any kind of project. Mrs. Amy was very independent and lived life to the fullest and cherished every minute with her family and friends. She was an avid Florida Gators Fan. “GO GATORS”.

Ms. Hinson was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Denwell Powell III.

Survivors include her husband, Barry Hinson; two sons, Dewayne Powell and Daniel Baldwin; three daughters, Courtney Sapp, Charlotte Rice (Garrett), and Catherine Baldwin; three brothers, James, Michael, and Donnie Blackstone; numerous nieces and nephews.
