James Bronson Butler, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died unexpectedly Sunday, April 21,2024 at his home. He was 50.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Senn officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9AM to 10AM at the church.
James was born to the late Norman and Ethel Catrett Butler on October 30, 1973, in Dothan, Alabama. He was a builder by trade and owned and operated his own construction business. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, drawing, and carving. James loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His most precious time was making lasting memories with his family.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 13 years Erica Butler; a son, James Bronson Butler II; two daughters, Kaylan Butler and Lashae Butler; a step-son, Kyle Peacock; two-step daughters, Meagan Jones (Bret) and Kayla Hughes (Paul); two brothers, Doug Butler (Ann) and Randy Butler; eight grandchildren; a life-long friend, Jeff Dean; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
