Thelma Jean Brown, a resident of Ashford, died Monday, August 14, 2017 at her residence. She was 62.

Funeral services for Ms. Brown will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 18, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Captain Phillip Durr officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM at the funeral home prior to the services.

Ms. Brown was born May 12, 1955 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Warren and Lola B. Jarvis Anderson. She was a 1973 graduate of Ashford High School and loved to read.

Ms. Brown is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald E. Brown; two sisters, Dorothy Trawick and Sarah Veazey.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa and JJ Wright, Sarah Brown; son, Kenneth and Amber Brown; grandchildren, Andrew, Madison, Paisley and Wyatt; her life partner, Tony Godwin; sister, D’Renda and Joe Lewis; two brothers, Jimmy Anderson, Allen and Doreen Anderson.
