Laura Michelle Pate, born September 8, 1967, passed peacefully on August 24, 2017 in the loving arms of her husband Jeff Danford.
She is survived by her husband and family as beloved daughter of James & Jerrilyn Pate, sister to Jeremy Pate, Niece to Betty Ausley, Uncle Kenny and Cindy Crabtrey, Dennis and Delores Crabtrey and cousins.
She leaves behind a legacy of animal rescue as a foster mother to countless fur babies across Southeast Alabama, a 30 year career as loved WOOF radio personality and co-founder of Folklore Brewing and Meadery. Her memory lives on in every act of compassion shown to the lost and forgotten pets of the Wiregrass.
A celebration of life will be held at Folklore Brewing and Meadery on August 29, 2017 from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations of pet food and financial support is welcomed for local animal rescue groups and may be dropped off at the brewery located at 153 Mary Lou Ln. Dothan, AL 36301.
