I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Dear Family,

I am sending sincere condolences for your loss. Meditating on the Bible's sure promise of the resurrection (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) can do much to comfort you and help you to cope. It was not God's purpose for us to die. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that He has put "eternity into our hearts." It is still His purpose for us to live forever here on a Paradsaic earth, free from sickness and death (Psalm 37:11, 29; Revelation 21:3,4). I hope that it is encouraging for you to know that your precious family member can live again by means of Jehovah God's gift of the resurrection.
