Elliot Kimberly Christian passed away at his home in Dothan, Alabama, on February 7, 2017, at the age of 65. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Dothan, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Bates Christian; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Christian; three grandsons, Hunter, Ryan, and Ray; stepson, Christopher Daniel Bates; Mother, Buffy Christian; brother, Peter (wife, Gayle) Christian; nephew, Scott Christian; niece, Ana Gayle Christian.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Edward Raymond Christian, MD.

Elliot served in United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a Helmsman on a minesweeper, USS Enhance (MSO-437). His professional career as a computer analyst began in New Orleans. As an independent contractor he worked for many of the top 50 Fortune 500 Companies throughout the United States. While working in Panama City, Florida, he met his wife, Cheryl, and enjoyed thirty years of marriage. Elliot retired in 2016, to their home in Dothan, Alabama.

Family visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Hodgesville Road, Dothan, Alabama, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Red Cross.
