Bobby Givens, a resident of Dothan, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at Westside Terrace. He was 77.

Funeral services for Mr. Givens will be held at 2 PM Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood with Pastors Richard Smith and Bill Givens officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the church. At other times the family will be at the home of his son, Jeff and Brooke Givens in Headland, Alabama.

Mr. Givens was born September 14, 1938 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late JW and Ila Carr Givens. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and retired as a heavy equipment operator in the construction field.

Mr. Givens is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dianne Givens.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff and Brooke Givens, Jay and Kellie Givens; three grandchildren, Analeigh, Mary and Mark; brother, Bill and Ruth Givens and a brother in law, Andy Poole.
