Annie Merle Rush, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, July 7, 2017 at her residence. She was 78.
Memorial services for Ms. Rush will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ms. Rush was born July 22, 1938 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late John Kaleb and Johnnie Pearl Bell Lewis. She retired from Lyster Army Hospital and later worked with attorneys Kevin Moulton and Eric Davis. Ms. Rush loved reading, Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves.
Ms. Rush is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Flowers Gonzalez, Sheila Ann Holt; sons, Carl Richard Flowers, Jr., John Flowers; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Watson.
