Annie Lavene Hodges Davis, a resident of Gordon, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Noland Hospital. She was 68.
Ms. Davis wishes were for cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Davis was born October 14, 1948 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Foy Dee and Annie Laura Shehee Hodges. She grew up working on the farm and later worked at Wex-Tex Shirt Factory in Cottonwood. Ms. Davis enjoyed gardening, fishing, and recycling.
Ms. Davis is preceded in death by three sons, Harrell and Farrell Davis, Little Bit Davis; siblings, Billy Joe Hodges, Mary Joyce Gideon, Foy Allen Hodges, Henry Clayton Hodges, Brenda Lou Hodges, Ray Hodges, Joseph Franklin Hodges, Robert Lamar Hodges, Daniel Paul Hodges.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Boles (Anup Raval), Barbara Steidl (Robert Garrison); grandchildren, Michael McCord, William McCord, Brandi McCord, John Steidl, Jessie Steidl, Timothy Steidl, Christy Steidl, Aaron Steidl, Angel Maria Garrison, Brittney Davis Poole, Angela Davis; 14 great grandchildren; two siblings, Annette Taylor and Glen Hodges and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
